I had very high hopes with this drone, as my first house drone I bought, the HolyStone HS450 is so much fun. I saw 1 person post a review before mine, This is a VERY NEW drone to the market. after unboxing, setting up, calibrating(easy) hooking up to WIFI (also surprisingly quick) and sending it up. no amount of trim adjustment would control it. I observed one propellor acting weird. Upon further investigation, the one motor started late, stopped early, occasionally did not start, and was running slowly. then I noticed the shaft was apparently bent. Working with HolyStone Customer Service, not amazon, to resolve this issue. I will update my review accordingly, but I predict HolyStone will continue to treat me right. They really seem to want customers to be happy with their purchase, and are willing to make it right if your experience has not been as great as most.
Update: as expected Holystone sent me a new drone, full box batteries and all. This one only took one trim adjustment and it flew great! holds altitude much better than my HolyStone HS450. and its quicker and much faster to climb. cant wait to get it outside when the wind stops. It doesn’t have the sensors for obstacle avoidance like the HS450, but it far outperforms in every other way. Having a blast inside when its too windy outside to fly my big HS720E

This is a new model from Holy Stone and they have developed a winner. It has features you wouldn’t expect to find on such a small package. It has Auto Takeoff, One Key Landing, Sideways Drift Trim, Sideways Dip Trim, Three Speed Switch, Emergency Stop, High Speed Rotation, Circle Fly, Altitude Hold, Take Photo and Video, 360* Flip and Headless Mode.
The packaging is well done in a box about 6 x 3 x 7 inches. Inside the box is a clear plastic tray with the Drone, Transmitter, 2 Batteries, USB charging cable, Extra set Propellers, Propeller Guards, Phone Holder, 4 extra Propeller screws and a Screwdriver.
Setup was easy only requiring snaping on the propeller guards and phone holder. Install the Application on your phone. I have an Android phone and I noticed that the Play Store has several apps with “HS FPV” in the name such as HS FPV V2, HS FPV V1 just be sure to download and install “HS FPV”. Not sure if the others would work but I know that HS FPV does work. Just follow the directions to charge the batteries and pair the phone to the Drone.
Preflight be sure to have Drone Head pointed away from you while pairing and Calibrating the Gyro. Remember this Drone only weighs 1.76 ozs so it is effected by any wind outside. My first test flight was in our living room that is 20 x 20 feet with a 10 ft ceiling with a fan. I was able to control it with a little practice. I can’t wait to gain more experience flying it and try all the features it has.
Since the air was still today, I took it outside for a test flight. It was an Awesome little drone with so many features I will have to master in the future.
My conclusion is that the Holy Stone HS340 Mimi Drone is a winner. It can bring the fun of drone flight to all ages from 14 plus.

Even indoors it had a fair amount of drift, trimming would only correct it so far. Outside, basically forget about it. Barely any breeze and was very difficult to control. Ended up stuck up in the branches of a tree after numerous times where it drifted beyond the edge of the yard and wouldn’t respond to the controls.
UPDATE: I got an email as follows asking us to change this review. I am deducting an additional star. The above is our true review of the product. How rude to ask us to change our mind about it. Would you please kindly do us a favor to update it to 4 -5 stars or delete it (because 1-3 stars mean bad review to us) if you can accept a free replacement or full refund? The drone is very easy to control. Makes it great for any beginner or kids. There’s no delay in the control which makes it easy to fly. It’s nice to have 3 speeds on it for different skill levels. All features work like there suppose to. Also don’t fly it outside unless there’s absolutely no wind. It is a small drone and can’t handle the wind. It’s better to fly indoors.
It’s nice that it comes with spare props, prop guards, screwdriver, two chargers and two batteries. This is great for a beginner to have everything they need.
The app is easy to use and has everything you need on it. It’s save the pictures and videos on the app and you can save the pictures or videos to your phone or share them to social media.
The controller is easy to use. The sticks move nice and easy. The buttons don’t stick and move nice and freely. Another great thing is the phone holder holds my IPhone XR with its protective case on. Other drones in this price range I have to take the case off.
The durability of the drone is good. I’ve crashed it a couple of times. The drone is still flying good with no damage.
I included two pictures and a short video. The pictures where taken on a cloudy day. To me with a 720p camera they didn’t come out to bad. For a drone in this price range it’s good.
Overall I would recommend this drone to anyone. It’s a great drone to learn on and it works good for a drone in this price range.
