Just received this LITTLE drone. Don’t let the picture fool you, it fits in the palm of your hand. But it’s a fun little drone to play with inside without worry about breaking the tv. lol. I was a little disappointed when I saw the actual size but not dissatisfied. Happy 420!

I got this mini FPV drone for my kids, ok bought it for me too. It looked like fun and it didn’t disappoint, we’ve been flying it all over the house. It’s fast and the camera is pretty good, better than I expected. It came with 3 batteries, 2 charging cables and extra props. The batteries charge in about 30 minutes, which is good because my kids have been flying it all weekend.

This is my first drone and I gave It a 4 start easy to learn rating mostly because Im still a rookie and not so much because its very difficult to learn.
This drone has a feature where it starts to fly by being tossed into the air. How crazy is that? Thank goodness it has an emergency landing feature which comes in handy for someone like me who is a beginner.
I like the compactness because I do not have to have a designated case for it. The propeller guards are a good feature especially when I bump it into things.
I like the camera feature but one thing to note, the angle has to be set before flight because it can not be adjusted remotely.
The drone comes with a partial charge that allowed me to fly it for 7 minute. I like that it had spare baterries and chargers so I was able to charge two batteries while I was using a third to fly the drone. It took 25-30 minutes to fully charge a battery from an empty state.

I had read the description and knew it would be tiny, but it was our my grandson’s first drone and I wanted to see if he could take care of it. He was so excited that he played non-stop with it for a couple of days. I really appreciate that the blades are protected because in learning to use it, it crashed into multiple things. Love the camera and the ability to record and set up on phone, and that it can also “follow”. The fact that it is so small was a detriment, though. He was flying it close to our property line and lost sight of it. We all searched for many days, but never did find it. Hoping a high wind will knock it out of a bush or tree, but now that the leaves are falling, we don’t have much hope.

After watching a friend fly several of his drones, I decided I needed to join the fun and learn how to fly one of my own. The HS 420 has been a perfect starter for several reasons:
1. It is very durable in spite of multiple training crashes. (The props are protected by covers that prevent damage to walls, fingers, pets, and the drone!)
2. The 3 batteries included and fairly quick charging time provide lots of flying time.
3. It’s 2 speed options assist with training or watching it fly fast. Tricks are also easy to learn and fun to demonstrate.
4. The camera allows for additional training levels by viewing the screen not just the drone. (That will be an important skill if you plan to move to larger drones.)
5. Take offs and landings are as easy as a push of a button or you can improve skills by performing your own landings.
6. It comes with an excellent instruction guide and extra parts.
I would say that due to its light weight, it performs best indoors. When I tried to use it outside even the slightest breeze impacted my ability to control it and I thought it might end up in the nearby trees.

I got it Saturday and unboxed it right away. Comes with 2 batteries 6-8 minutes of fly time, 3 chargers* extra props (1 set), some extra screws, and, a propeller spanner and a screwdriver. Takes about an hour to charge the batteries. What I really like about these batteries is that they slide right onto the bottom of the drone; very easy!
The controls are very easy to use, but the dial on the back of the remote doesn’t appear to have a real function, but it got me to look at the camera……It can be adjusted! WOW! It’s a 720p and the quality is great! (not gonna post pix, because, I’ve flown it only in my apartment, and it’s usually a mess!). Next calm day, gonna take it outside and try it, but at 22.5g, I think it’s primarily an indoor unit.
That said, the little guy is zippy. I love it! It moves at a pretty good pace and has 2 speeds, high and low. For the most part, I kept it on low because of the size of my apartment. But I did try it on high on a straight line and it….moves.
It’s a great little starter drone for adults and kids alike. Thanks Holy Stone!

My son received this product, and was flying it without any practice 10 minutes later. It is easy to use, and fun to navigate around the yard. The drone flies surprisingly high, and includes an emergency landing feature in the event it starts to go outside the boundaries of where you want to fly. My son loves the feature that allows the drone to start on its own if tossed in the air.
A few things we have noticed:
1) It will always try to land on a flat surface
2) It is hard to control on a windy day, as it is pretty light. We usually just keep it closer to the ground, and it works great!!
3) The battery charges quickly, but like any drone, it only lasts for a short period of time.
4) Tricks are easy to do, and fun to learn.
Overall, this is a great entry level drone for kids. My son is 8 years old, and figured out how to use it on his own, and has spent quite a bit of time learning all the cool things it can do.

Fun tiny drone. Performs well inside, responsive enough to fly around my expensive tv, and my head. I have broken the same side propellers several times, replacement propellers with 1mm center hole are too big. Holy Stone has replacements but in a kit with parts you don’t need for $19.95. Quiet motors, but beeps very loud. So much fun I bought a second hs420 so I would have six batteries and not have to wait more than a minute for one of the four charging is ready. With Targus ACH124 4 usb hub I only use one usb slot. I would buy this again and give as a gift. For any age that can fly it safely.
