Pay special attention to the control distace. This drone only has control up to 100 meters (328 feet). I had opened the box, paired it, and was flying it for about 15 minutes when it apparently got out of range. I could still see it above and slightly in front of me, but all of a sudden I no long had control of it. It just flew away and was never found. Probably in a tree somewhere. It is worth buying a more expensive drone to either get more control range or get one that returns home if it goes out of range. Very disappointed.

Before reading much further into this review, understand that I currently own over 20 drones. Some range in upwards of $2k, to a low of around $35. I teach a drone programming class. This is mainly why I have so many. So I do not expect it to have same qualities that a high priced drone would have, but at the same time, I do not expect it to have some of the lower quality features of a $35 drone. With that being said, this drone fits my expectations.
It comes in a nice case and is easy to carry and transport. These is ample room for storage of all the parts needed for flying. This is above my expectations. Some of my higher priced drones do not have cases. I think many people underestimate the value of a case. Great place to store extra props, batteries, remote, charging cord, etc. I have lost batteries and props because of a lack of storage .
The second thing that one needs to consider when purchasing this drone is are there parts available for it. You will crash. Parts will get damaged. Expect it. I have not owned this drone long enough to see if parts are readily available. But is does come with extra props should one get damaged and they are easy to replace. I’m sure you can get parts from Amazon if you need them. I have been able to buy spare motors for my $35 drone, but I would check into what parts are available for this drone before purchasing.
The next thing to consider is the quality of construction. This does not have nearly as nice of a camera as my $2K drone, but hey, what do you expect for the price? The video is a bit grainy but it is acceptable. The camera seems to be attached to the drone nicely and will not fall off like I have had a problem with some other drones. The plastic housing seems quite durable so it can absorb some crashes. It is quite light weight and it can get difficult to control in a breeze, but most drones in this price range have this same problem. If you want a drone that is easy to fly with a slight breeze, then look for a drone that has GPS tracking. It is this flaw that might make flying this drone difficult for beginners. But again, it is inexpensive.
The next thing to consider is the app and connectivity. This drone sends out a wifi signal (non internet) to connect to an app that you install on a tablet or smartphone. I take that back. You can not use a tablet because the holder on the remote is not large enough for a tablet. Additionally, your flight range is limited to the wifi signal that the drone sends out. The app itself has all the features, and then some, that are a nice touch that is found on more expensive drones. You can operate the camera by hand motions, tap to take off and land and return home are some of the finer features.
Putting everything else aside, perhaps one of the greatest selling points that this drone has to offer is from the company’s customer service. Never, I repeat, never have I had such outstanding customer service. I have another drone from this company that I had a minor problem with and within days, they were helping me out. They made sure I was thoroughly satisfied with their product. I would buy a drone from them again just because of their customer service.
So overall, is it great drone? The answer to that is yes, for the money that you pay. I would recommend this drone for people who do not want to spend a great deal of money. Just realize that there are better drones out there, but you will have to pay more money to get them. Also realize that there are worse cheaper drones out there. For this being an inexpensive drone, I’d say it is well worth the money. I would buy it again.
Kindle Customer –
Bought this for my sons 14th birthday. We got it set up and on the first run as we were rising it in the air the drone lost its connection to the controller and just kept going. Emergency stop button wouldn’t work because it lost the connection so we watched it head to the sun until it disappeared. At least if I threw 70 dollars in the air I might have a chance to catch it – not this garbage. There should be some type of shutdown once it hits like a height of 200 feet or loses connection it should hover, but it does not. Do not recommend at all

I bought this drone to dip my toes into the FPV side of drones. I wasn’t ready to drop 200 dollars on a FPV drone and buy a expensive headset, but then I found this beginner FPV drone for 70 dollars that comes from a drone manufacture that I have a lot of faith in because of their great customer service and build quality. I have had a blast playing with this thing flying inside my house and outside in the backyard the past few days. At the start I found the whole VR thing a little hard to get used to but once I did it was amazing. At first I was having some issues with the WiFi connective to the drone but after putting my phone into Airplane Mode those problems seem to have stopped. In my book if you are thinking of getting into FPV drone flying but don’t want to drop a lot of money on something you aren’t sure you will enjoy give this drone a chance. So lets take a look at the Specs of this drone.
Specifications
Folded Size 7×5.6×2.56 inches
Unfolded Size 13.4×13.4×2.56 inches
Weight 150grams
Flight Time 10-15 minutes per battery
Control Distance around 300 feet with no obstructions
My order came with the following
1x D10 Drone, 1x Transmitter aka controller, 2x 3.7V Drone Batteries, 1x USB Charging Cable, 4x Spare Propellers, 4x Propeller Guards (I have never used these and find them next to useless), 1x Manual, 1x Screwdriver, 1x carrying bag
In Closing I just want to say I really enjoy flying this drone and have no real complainants about it. This drone wasn’t made to the fastest or to take excellent pictures but to be a beginner drone that doesn’t break the bank but will allow you to experience some FPV and basic drone handling. So if your thinking of starting the drone hobby or have been enjoying drones for awhile but want a low cost drone to play with this is the one I would go with its from a reputable company that has a track record of great customer service and build quality.
Thanks for reading this.
