I am a contour camera big fan.First I purchased the Contour Roam1, later I bought two contours Roam2 and finally a contour Roam 3 (I like to have more than 1 so if one loses its charge I have another ready to go) To me the contour Roam 2 is the best. Great resistance and video quality for outdoor sports and adventure, for a fraction of the price compared to buy a Go Pro. I have to say Go Pros are better cameras when filming during the night, but I don’t take any of my adventures during the night. I also purchased the plastic shell (sold separate) to be willing to use it under water because the contour Roam2 is water resistant only to 1 meter or so.

Since my previous Contour Roam 2 I can say that the camera is fine BUT the BUNDLE of extra’s that is shown with the camera never came with it, only a simple glue mount, and the charge cord. The 120 volt charger, and the 12 volt lighter charger did not come with the camera “The Bundle” is not actually what you get……….but I am hoping it was just a mistake, and the other stuff that was suppose to be included will show up in the mail.
As you can see in the photo it shows these accessories…….so where are they?

Works great. I do have two go pros I use and now this contour. I would say not much difference other than the price. Easy to use.

Don’t let its size fool you – this thing is awesome…dare I say, even on par with GoPro! Waterproof (though I’ve not put this to the test yet), lightweight, easy to use, and good quality! Plus, it comes with a great bundle of extras – two different mounting options in the box, a surfboard mount (which can be used on other things as well – on front bike racks, on top of vented bike helmets, on a skateboard, you name it!), a quick charger that has an extra USB charging plug…and there are so many extras you can get for practically nothing! Moldable tripods, selfie sticks, floating grips, gun/bow mounts for you target shooters/hunters out there, true vented helmet mounts (just got mine on Friday), I am definitely MORE than happy with this camera!
The only thing I don’t like about it? You have to go online to see how to work it and configure everything, and you have to download their software for your PC or Mac in order to change its configuration. That is the ONLY reason why it’s 4-stars and not a solid 5 – not that you have to go online for the manual (most electronic gizmos are this way these days), but that I had no clue how to even attach the USB cable until I went online to begin with…that’s the reason. They should have at least given an “out-of-box” leaflet or something. Maybe they do with newer versions? I don’t know, but what I DO know is that I’m getting a couple of others really soon. I’m sold!

good thing this model is discontinued. this unit has short battery life, longer charge time and it doesn’t record while charging.
