This is not a drone review, but seller. I am sure drone itself is awesome, but I was not able to evaluate it. To make the story short I should say that I am a happy owner of DJI Air 2 drone. But I decide to upgrade it to Air 2S version as it has lots of improvements. I ordered Air 2S Fly more combo version and it was delivered to me. But package did not have plastic cover as needed. Package itself is for Air 2S with the correct drone pictures on it.
BUT there was regular Air 2 inside, can you imagine? Some accessories were for Air 2 (smaller ND filters), but extra propellers were with orange tips. I was really disappointed. Someone remove Air2S from the box and put it there regular Air 2 with Air 2 ND filters. As you can see at the picture I have Air 2 drone in my hand with the Air 2S box
Refund is requested and I plan to order it again. Will update my review after second try.
Definitely I am really disappointed and upset as planned to use it this weekend at Hawaii, but need to wait refund and order again. Will see what will happen with second purchase

    05/19/2021 UPDATE
Yesterday got mew purchase. This time it was sealed as needed. Right drone inside, all good for now

I’ve never owned a drone before and I thought – why not? Arrived a day before its estimated delivery date, brand new in the package, it was like Christmas morning opening it up. I charged the batteries and controller, updated the software and played with it for about 20 minutes. I flew it in my house, then went outside for awhile. I was pretty nervous but I took my time, reading the manual as I went. Happy with my purchase, happy with the supplier.

    *UPDATED BELOW*

Bought the DJI Mavic Air 2, two weeks ago before I knew an update was coming so soon buttt…. I just ordered the Air 2S! The Air 2 has been fantastic but I did run into some range issues or losing connectivity around buildings and residential areas. Hoping the updated unit with 4 antennas vs 2 will fix that issue. Also looking forward to the updated hardware and 1 inch sensor! Will post back with comparison and if it was worth the extra buy.

    *UPDATE*
So today I just got the beautifully upgraded 2S only two weeks after purchasing the Air 2. What are my first look and flight opinions… 100% worth the upgrade! Now don’t get me wrong the Air 2 is still an amazing drone and will work great for anyone but for me as I had the money and interest in learning how to edit video footage this upgrade was well worth it. Just look at the difference in the cameras in my pictures… Air2S – aluminum or metal material gimbal and has a beautiful 1” sensor vs Air2 – .5” plastic sensor and tbh the picture on the Air2S is just flat out better. However the Air 2 is still a fully capable drone and I will still use it as my everyday drone and for riskier shots.

As for the OcuSync 3.0 or better know as O3 I didn’t see a huge improvement on my first flight and I live in a suburb area with no tall buildings. That doesn’t mean that the range won’t be better for some but in my impression I saw no improvement here. I do have out of ground power lines all over where I live so this could be causing the issue. It generally lost signal when I was about .25 miles away and was flying low but would regain signal going above 65 feet. Not a huge deal breaker for me and I know others have said they saw a big improvement so maybe it’s the specific area where I live.

Lastly, MASTER SHOTS! This is one of the coolest things about the drone IMO. You select your target and the Air2S shoots a sequence of really cool dynamic shots and throws them into an edit for you. It literally does everything for you and it comes out really cool if you want to impress your friends or social media followers.

All in all 100% BUY THIS DRONE if it fits your budget. I don’t think it is too far off the price of the Air2 so if you have the extra cash I would definitely spend a little extra and go with the Air2S. In my opinion – Always go with the Fly More Combo – I got it on both drones.

Great purchase! Already own a Mini 2 but this one surpassed the Mini 2 by far, video quality is excellent, tons of new features along with the new 1″ sensor, quiet when flying.

What can you say? It’s DJI, the best drone manufacturer out there. I have had at least 6 different DJI drones. The Air 2S, no surprise, is my favorite. The 1” camera sensor, the only camera drone in the world that shoots 5.4k 30fps video, the incredible range are just a few things that make this the most amazing drone I have owned. The only negative was the way my Amazon delivery guy delivered it. My doorbell camera actually shows him tossing the box about 3 feet onto my front porch. C’mon! But thankfully no damage.

I hesitated to purchase a DJI drone last year and went with a lesser known brand. That drone didn’t last at all and the quality was sub par. I decided to take a chance on the Air 2s and there is no comparison! This drone is incredible! The camera quality, gimble, and most of all the connection are rock solid! The range is insane and I experienced the auto return home (I got a little too excited and flew into a valley far away losing the connection) today and it was almost dead on. I’m sold on this and will be sticking with this brand from now on. Spoil yourself on this one, You won’t regret it!

This is my 3rd personally owned DJI drone and the 6th I have operated including the ones for my job. I won’t get into the details about the drone since so many others have already done so…

Instead I am going to explain a silly problem with the DJI Fly App that may confuse many first time users.

As of May 15, 2021 the DJI Fly App on the android play store is not compatible with the Mavic Air 2S. You CANNOT get the latest version from the Google Play Store. You must go to DJI’s website and look for it under “downloads.” Your phone will warn you that the application may be harmful and you need to allow the download if you want to continue. If you want to fly with an Android phone or tablet, there is no way around this right now. Download and install the “DJI FLY APK” to your phone and it will look like any other app from the play store.

If you already have the DJI FLY app from a previous drone, you will have to uninstall it and download the new one from DJI’s website. The QR code on the quick start guide included with the drone did not work for me, I had to manually search their website.

If you do not do the above… Your radio controller will not connect to the drone. You will see “AIRCRAFT NOT CONNECTED” in red after you press “GO FLY” from the app’s home screen. NOTHING YOU DO WILL GET THE OLD APP TO CONNECT TO THE AIR 2S.

Once you have the new Fly App version, the drone will connect and then begin downloading several updates. It should work now.

On another note: the Air 2S, 3x battery, charger, spare props, controller, and ND filters will fit into the Lowepro Droneguard CS 150 case. It’s snug, but I got it all to fit. This is my preferred case for small, foldable drones.

I love this drone! I bought my first drone about 6 or 7 years ago and it was massive, low quality camera, very short range and short flight time.

I bought the DJI air 2S fly more package to basically check the back fields and fences and it’s all it says it is. Longer flight times, great camera, and easy to fly.

I’m still learning the ins and outs of the full use, and I haven’t used the auto tracking yet. I’ve had it reach out to 2kms while obstruction free in line of sight, but there’s a slight pixelated lag with the camera. It’s depending on the skies, Clear skies and it has almost zero lag but seems to have more on cloudy overcast days.

But to check the back fields and fences I get much less distance and more lag where the image freezes then jumps to the next view a bunch of frames forward due to interference from trees. I’ve had the drone lose its connection a few times and have scrambled to move closer to regain connection to cancel the return to home, but knock on wood……so far so good! It’s expensive but I would recommend this, if you have the money.

So that’s the only reason it never hit 5 stars, I don’t see this being able to reach to extreme distances they advertised. Unless I’m doing something wrong I would say that 2kms is the max operating distance using line of sight and easily a half km less if you need to fly without line of sight or below the tree line.

One last note, it handles the wind very well for its size, it tells you if the wind is to much. I simply lowered the altitude and it was fine.
