British Superbike Championship [Blu-ray] [Import anglais]

Well, I ordered two copies of this blu ray, going by the glowing reviews. One for my Brother, and one for my Father, for Christmas presents. To be honest, I’m not sure how this was allowed to be marketed as a blu ray. Sure, it’s on a blu ray disc, and the footage of James Whitham introducing each race is in High Definition, but all the racing footage is poor quality, and not HD. In fact, I’ve seen better Standard Definition footage!! My Mother noticed how bad the picture quality was when I showed her, and she is not usually fussy about that sort of thing. The menus showing the race results/championship results, and in race leaderboards are barely legible. As it was, I sent both discs back, thinking they were possibly faulty, and ordered some more. The second lot of discs were exactly the same quality though. But, as they were Christmas presents, I didn’t send them back this time. I could have been extremely unlucky and received four discs from a bad batch, but I think that’s unlikely. Especially when the second copies were ordered from a different website.

Don’t waste your money. If you really want to buy the review, just buy the Standard dvd review. You’ll probably be getting the same quality footage anyway. (Please note. I haven’t seen the Standard definition version, but the blu ray version was as poor as a standard definition dvd, except where mentioned above!).
