The Tachyon GunCam in full 1080p is a great action camera at a price that can’t be beat. Small, portable and light weight with 2+ hours of 1080p run time (Longer on 720p). No need to purchase a bunch of extra accessories as the Tachyon GunCam comes well equipped with Tri-pod, Rain Proof Cover, Contour Mount and Clip mount.

Final thoughts: Being so light and compact the GunCam is the perfect action sports camera. One Button operation makes it user friendly. Using a micro sandisk card and a simple USB charge port. MUST HAVE!

This is a wonderful item!! I use it as a helmet cam while cycling as well as a dash cam when driving. The mounts included work very well not to mention the crisp, clear HD of the camera itself!! For me, it is perfect!! I highly recommend it!!!!

This is by far one of the coolest and easiest cameras to work with, and own! Amazing quality videos, good sound, and very light! The field of view is pretty good, and you don’t get very much “fish eye” in your videos. Amazing camera!

Then, you get to all of the shooting accessories! I personally LOVE the rail attachment. Secures the camera, and mounts directly to any rail. You cam get some VERY cool angles with it.

This camera is a MUST HAVE for anyone that has looked at or thought about getting a Go Pro. I assure you, this product wins hands down… and I own both. I constantly find myself reaching for the Tachyon for my filming needs.

Ordered the Tachyon OPS 1080p for use as a light weight head cam.. We film sports shooting with the camera. Being a social marketing consultant, I have a ton of small top to the line sports cameras for pro use. The issue with those other cameras is weight, battery life and ease of use. Most sports cameras need housings, mounts, and straps to get it on your head.. This is not the case with the OPS. A simple clip mount attaches right on the shooters hearing protection. The light weight make this awesome camera for sports. With most of our other cameras we run USB battery packs for even a half day of footage. The battery life and simple one button on/off recoding feature of the Tachyon lasts all day.. I can not do this with my more expensive sports cameras. The footage is on par with offerings at twice the price. And processes easily in Adobe Premier CC. You can wear this camera all day.. shoot with it all day.. and get excellent results.. For our needs Price is not king, but in this case the Tachyon is out of the box perfect and ready to mount for pro POV work at half the price of others.

It does a good job. It doesn’t have jitter correction, so using a helmet mount instead of a motorcycle handlebar mount works much better. Rather than wiring in a USB connector to the trike’s electrics I bought a small (pocket sized) external power supply (from Amazon) to run the camera longer than the 2 hour internal battery allows. Other than that, excellent video quality.

We were amazed at the quality of video this little camera took! Mounted it on our Harley as we crossed country and have a great record of our ride. The vibration from the bike had no affect on the camera. We even took it off and used it to record while holding it. I would recommend this with confidence!

I would like to start off by saying that I use lots of cameras, mostly dslr’s. I shoot a bit of video for several different needs and styles. This little light camera has gotten me out of a tough bind or two. The video quality is not what you would expect from such a small camera.
It isn’t a replacement to a dslr, that’s not what I’m saying, but for mounting on helmets, off the side of a car, or on a gun this little camera is perfect. Other than using it for work I have also used it for fun. I have put them on my 4 wheelers and RC cars among other things. A BIG plus about this camera is that it’s so light it doesn’t affect the performance of your RC vehicle very much, unlike other sports cameras. it is an excellent dash cam. There are lots of ways it could be mounted. For one, just put down a piece of the 3m tape on the
dash and then a piece on the helmet mount, slap the camera in, and you’re ready to role. This 3m tape is no joke, I’ve used it to mount the cameras under a truck and drive down dirt roads like a teenager, And it comes with a generous amount, probably enough for three different locations, plus the camera. You could also get a windshield suction cup mount from any “online retailer” with standard 1/4-20 tripod threading, and tachyon has a mount for their camera with the standard size, which I LOVE, makes it so versatile.
I am definitely getting another camera to be a dedicated dash cam due to the fact that I can change the firmware to make it loop the footage and it will start recording when I turn the car on and keep going till I turn the car off. When the card gets full it will write over the earliest footage to make a never ending loop of footage. if you have a DC outlet, that always has power it will always be recording,(as long as the camera has power it will record).
In recap, well worth $200. Especially considering competitors’ cameras cost twice as much and are not near as versatile.

    Love it, two thumbs up.

This is my second Tachyon cameraI. The one I purchased years ago is my helmet cam. I bought this one to use as a dash-cam on my motorcycle. These little cameras are awesome. The video quality is great, mounting options are great, and the features are great. AND,,, their support team is the best and walked me through making some adjustments to my new camera.
