Description
There s action and atmosphere all the way in the Official Review of the 2012 Isle of Man TT. Action packed footage from throughout practice and every race brings you the full, dramatic story of the two-week festival. Trackside, aerial and on-bike cameras produce jaw-dropping sequences as the motorcycles blast around the legendary 37.7-mile Mountain course at speeds approaching 200 mph. The stunning footage puts you at the heart of the action, taking you even closer to the edge of real road racing. Plus, the review includes expert commentary and analysis, interviews with the stars, technical features and a host of extras, including many not seen on TV. Additional footage this year includes post-race press conferences and behind-the-scenes access captured like never before. There are so many exciting stories to follow at the 2012 Isle of Man TT; will John McGuinness be able to add to his incredible tally of 17 TT wins, will history man Ian Hutchinson return to the dominant form of 2010, will returning sidecar legend Dave Molyneux be able to add yet more victories and will the ever-popular Guy Martin finally secure that elusive first TT win. Veterans Bruce Anstey and Ryan Farquhar cannot be counted out and Manxmen Conor Cummins and Dan Kneen will be racing for national pride, plus there s a host of exciting newcomers including General Lee Johnston and Karl Harris hoping to make their marks. In addition to the normal Superbike, Superstock, Supersport and Sidecar races, plus, of course, the blue riband Senior TT, 2012 sees the arrival of a new class for SuperTwins and the TT Zero challenge for electric bikes is also back. TT Zero really comes of age in 2012, with John McGuinness joining the line-up with a purpose built machine from Mugen. The official Isle of Man TT 2012 review brings you the complete account of all these, and many more stories with the most spectacular on-track action and unmissable off-track colour and atmosphere. All the action, all the atmosphere and bonus features never seen before all in the essential 2012 Isle of Man TT official review. Contains both Blu-Ray and DVD discs.

Noted for the lack of the senior TT due to cancellation, however the ITV 4 team have teamed up with radio Manx commentary team to provide a detailed lap by lap review. Extras are a little brief but fillers for the lack of a 6 lap senior race i guess. Quality HD footage A+

I had originally pre-purchased the DVD\BluRay Duke combo of the entire 2012 races and this 2012 Review. I did not know this year’s Seniors race had been cancelled until after watching this disk. This package was so comprehensive I cancelled the unreleased full package. It probably has more onboard videos. I prefer the big bike races.
This is almost worth every penny except for the fact there is so much copy protection on the BluRay I couldn’t create an ISO image so I could put it on my media player. I guess that’s good and bad. Good for counterfeits but bad for people like me that paid good money but really don’t seem to own it. 3 stars because of only being able to lease it.

“This is man’s country this” If I try hard to think, there is little on this earth that man does that is a cool as the isle of man TT, but as far as this Blu-ray/DVD Combo goes, the footage is stunning, the coverage great, and the volume of content is copious. On the Blu-ray the picture is particularly crisp. I actually sell HD t.v.s and blu-ray players at my day job so I know crisp, this content POPS! They included plenty of coverage if you watch it straight through, plus they’ve laid out chapters for you so you can go right to the content you’re most interested in if desired. One note though; If you do use the chapters to go straight to certain content, you’ll miss some good content on the pre-race and other stuff that I found interesting. I’ve had it maybe a week and have already watched it 4 times, Lol. It’s a no brainer for you, or as a gift for a motorcycle fan.

Another TT DVD for my collection!
2nd best to actually being there.
In fact I still buy TT DVD’s even if I’ve been over to the Island.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my brother and he absolutely loved it. It is jam packed with all the information and footage that any TT fan could want. I personally am not a big fan, but I actually enjoyed watching it with my brother and it made a great stocking filler. Would recommend for anyone who is struggling to find something for someone who is into motorbikes.
